Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos Welcomes New Board Director

Warren Gorowitz, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility for Hunter Industries, is the latest addition to the nonprofit's Board of Directors

SAN MARCOS, CA – Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos has appointed Warren Gorowitz, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility for Hunter Industries, as the newest addition to its 2021 Board of Directors.

 

“Warren brings valuable knowledge and a new perspective to our Board, as well as a shared commitment to creating positive change in our community. I have no doubt that he will provide invaluable insights as we move the organization forward,” said Cathy Baur, President & CEO for the Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos.

 

Gorowitz is a 27-year respected leader in the Green Industry and water efficiency and sustainability professional. In his role at Hunter Industries, he provides global leadership and strategic direction in all areas of Corporate Social Responsibility for the San Marcos-based company, including its corporate social responsibility report, employee volunteer and community development programs, and Hunter’s Charitable Giving Committee. He previously served as Ewing Irrigation and Landscape Supply Vice President of Sustainability and maintained oversight of all sustainability initiatives and Sustainable Solutions products.

 

“It’s a great honor to serve on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos. I look forward to helping the organization continue to provide critical services to the youth in our community, especially during these challenging times as we navigate the pandemic”. 

 

Gorowitz joins an esteemed group of business and community leaders who demonstrate a high level of commitment to San Marcos youth through their volunteer service, providing strategic direction and fiscal guidance for the nonprofit organization.

Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos (BGCSM) is a nonprofit youth development organization whose mission is to inspire and enable all young people to become productive, responsible and caring citizens. The organization, which first opened its doors in 1979 at Woodland Park, serves youth ages 6 to 18 at its standalone branch and 12 extension sites at school campuses and affordable housing communities throughout San Marcos and neighboring communities.
